Booking Information
Ryan works differently than a traditional tattoo artist. Rather than scheduling a consultation weeks before your tattoo, your design is created together on the day of your appointment. This allows your tattoo to be customized specifically for you while keeping the process efficient and collaborative.
Booking Your Appointment
Appointments are booked in 4-hour, 6-hour, or 8-hour sessions. Ryan no longer books small standalone tattoo appointments. These are handled on a walk-in basis by other artists at our shop.
If you're unsure how much time your tattoo will require, simply send us a message and we'll help recommend the appropriate session. For most new clients, a 6- or 8-hour appointment is recommended to allow enough time for designing and completing (or making significant progress on) your tattoo.
A deposit is required to reserve your appointment and is based on the length of session you select.
What to Expect
On the day of your appointment, you'll meet with Ryan to discuss your ideas, placement, and any final details. Your tattoo is designed together during your appointment, and you'll begin tattooing the same day. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, your tattoo may be completed during that session or continued in future appointments.
Quotes and Pricing
Ryan does not design tattoos before appointments, so all quotes are provided as an estimated price range rather than an exact total.
Pricing is based on the size, complexity, and level of detail of the tattoo not by the hour.

Stop by the shop on a day Ryan is in the studio.
For larger projects, such as full sleeves, back pieces, or other large scale work, stopping by the shop is strongly recommended so Ryan can see the area in person and provide the most accurate expectations.
Ryan does not schedule separate consultation appointments.

Non-Refundable Deposits
All deposits made to secure your appointment are non-refundable. This policy helps us manage our schedule and ensures that we can accommodate all clients effectively.Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be forfeited, and the deposit will be retained. We appreciate your understanding in adhering to this policy.Rescheduling by Ryan Nickens
In the rare event that we need to reschedule your appointment due to family matters or participation in a tattoo convention, we will offer you a discounted rate for the rescheduled appointment. Alternatively, you have the option to receive a full refund of your deposit if you prefer not to reschedule.
